Our Story
Long Island Knights Youth Football Club in association with Gordon Heights CPA has had tremendous tackle football and cheerleading programs over the years. Our leadership and volunteers have always had the highest enrollment of any town over the past decade and have received several honors including being chosen as the host for family football night, recognition from Tracy Edwards and other local dignitaries, praise from the football league, and being chosen to film an NFL USA Football commercial that aired during the Super Bowl. The newly re-branded “LI Knights” continues to deliver the highest level competitive youth football, with all of the great core values of the original club and some exciting new upgrades. Our club, our teams, rosters, positions, and playing time are not ruled by nepotism and local politics like other leagues. Kids get merit-based playing time and they play in positions they are meant to play in, not because their daddy is the coach. LI Knights has former college coaches on staff, the best trainers, and the best safety practices. We welcome kids from Gordon Heights, Northport, Elwood, Commack, Harborfields, and school districts all across Long Island. READ MORE ABOUT OUR SAFETY PRINCIPLES
The LI Knights is not part of Suffolk County PAL. The Long Island Knights compete in the best and fastest growing league in the region: The Big Tri-State League. The league offers Division I for our most talented teams, and Division II for our our developmental teams and players just learning the game. Games are all played in Long Island, but there is also an option for our most competitive teams to play in Metro-NY, and against some of the best teams in New Jersey like Harlem Jets, Bergen Stars and Pope John.

SEASON:
Approximately 8-10 games depending on age group
LI Knights Cheerleading is a sideline cheer program with a big focus on fun! Participants will learn the essential skills to lead the crowd and support their home team. LI Knights Cheerleaders will learn cheers, proper hand movements, jumping techniques, basic stunting and choreography all while also focusing on important life skills such as team-building and leadership! Throughout the season, LI Knights Cheerleaders will cheer at home and away LI Knights Football games. In addition to cheering at games, our cheerleaders will take part in some special events.
